Shafiq Chatterjee

Coach Shafiq Chatterjee was born in Harare, Zimbabwe, Africa. After moving to America, Coach Chatterjee found his love for basketball and continued to perfect his skills, which landed him on one of the best AAU teams in the country, ARC. In doing so, he played against the strongest opponents who would later become the biggest named players in the NBA including Brandon Jennings, Austin Day and Taylor King. Coach Chatterjee then went on to play all 4 years in an elite high school program. After which, Coach Chatterjee continued his basketball journey overseas, playing in 4 different countries. After his exceptional performance on the court, Coach Shafiq went back to his true passion, coaching the players of tomorrow. He has coached at 5 different high schools and has had an award winning coaching career with 1 League Championship, 2 National Championships, as well as 1 CIF Championship with Jserra Catholic High school. Coach Chatterjee has progressed to the next chapter of his career as the Director of OC Rain and is very committed to giving back to the game of basketball and in helping young players find their love and passion for the game.
